Produce
At Spare Thyme Farms, we focus on growing what we love to eat...which is a little bit of everything! We grow over 150 varieties of fruits and vegetables in our market garden. We try to set up our farmers market stand like a mini grocery store where there is something for everyone.
We love to experiment with nontraditional vegetables that you may not find in the average grocery store. Plus, we can guarantee that all of our produce is harvested and given to you as fresh as possible!
Plants
Bri LOVES her plants... that's what got us into this business. She is constantly adding new plants to her collection that she can propagate into new cuttings and bring to share with you! Our houseplant selection changes every time you see the stand as she is constantly adding to the presentation. You can also find a wide variety of potted herbs to take home and tend to for all your delicious recipes at home!
Bath & Body
We grow our very own luffa sponges! They are all natural and never bleached unlike most regularly sold. They are great for exfoliation...use them in the shower or for scrubbing your dishes, hands, and any other dirty surfaces. Luffas are a great way to reduce your plastic usage, and you can compost when ready to throw them out!
Our Meat Broilers
Our meat broilers are raised on a pasture. We utilize Salatin-style broiler boxes as well as electric net fencing to keep predators at bay and allow them to get fresh grass daily. We Raise multiple batches throughoutnthe spring, summer, and fall. It is one of our favorite things to so and watch the broilers explore their daily grassyh enclosure chasing bugs.
Having the birds on pasture gives us the opportunity to provide a great source of nutrients directly into the garden in the garden in the colder seasons when there isnt much growing the ground.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Our farm fresh eggs are produced by some of the happiest hens you'll meet. Our hens live in a homemade egg mobile which allows us to easily move them to new fresh pasture. Bri has really grown to love collecting different chicken breeds, so you'll find a colorful selection of eggs in every dozen ranging from browns, pinks, blues, greens to whites!
Seasonal Flowers
We have a variety of fresh cut flower bouquets throughout the regular growing season. Spring brings us flowering bulbs like daffodils and tulips. Summer has sunflowers, zinnias and so many more. And fall brings along sedum and mums. All arranged for you in a cute mason jar!
